12 tracks
Hard rock / cosmic funk

Twelve stories from Detroit dirt: street sermons, warehouse thunder, a piano’s quiet ache. From the first jukebox quarter to the last, Roxie sings every word like she means it.

The origin / Detroit, 1974

BUILT FROM
DETROIT DIRT.

Two blocks from the Rouge plant, Roxie learned her first rhythm from a shift whistle. She learned to sing over her uncle’s bar jukebox. When a producer asked her to soften the edges, she walked. In 1974, six players found each other in an east-side warehouse, and the Syndicate was born.

Her brother Danny gave her the quarters that started it all. He never came home from Vietnam. His last letter held three coins she couldn’t spend. This record carries him through the noise, the quiet, and the jukebox’s last crackle.

A note on the band: Roxie and the Syndicate are fictional, and this story is invented. The music is AI-assisted, written and produced by Brian Boyd.

“If you can’t hear every word,
the band is too loud.”
